TECO Boston Promotes Taiwan at Vermont Business and Industry Expo

TECO in Boston exhibited and promoted Taiwan in 2013 Vermont Business and Industry Expo — May 22 and 23, 2013, Burlington, VT

Represented by Economic Director Peter T. L. Shih, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Boston participated and exhibited at 2013 Vermont Business and Industry Expo (Vermont Expo), the largest trade show in Vermont organized by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. More than 155 companies, NGOs, governmental agencies, educational institutions, media, etc. exhibited at this year’s Vermont Expo, and TECO has been an exhibitor for more than 15 consecutive years.

Joined by Taiwan Trade Center, New York, TECO exhibited info and materials promoting Taiwan’s industries, export, tourist destinations/packages and investment environments. During the two-day show, Director Shih met more than 40 Vermont state government officials, businessmen, traders, consultants, teachers, etc., not only exchanging views with them about the potential of bilateral cooperation on trade, investment, tourism and educational exchange, but also providing them with the latest info on Taiwan. Peter Schumlin, Vermont Governor, Betsy Bishop, President of Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Bill Botzow, Chair of Commerce and Economic Development Committee, Vermont House of Representatives, and other distinguished Vermont celebrities visited TECO’s booth and expressed their appreciation for TECO’s long-standing support for the show.
